What We're Looking For

We are seeking a Maryland Licensed Psychologist to join our growing behavioral health organization serving individuals with mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders throughout the Baltimore area.



This posting is designed for psychologists interested in being considered for one or more of the following clinical roles based on experience, strengths, and organizational needs:

  • Treatment Coordinator
  • Co-Occurring Disorder Outpatient Counselor
  • Addiction Counselor



Candidates may be profiled into the role(s) that best align with their clinical background, treatment experience, leadership capabilities, and service interests.



Areas of Clinical Practice



Treatment Coordinator

Compensation: $25 – $45 per hour



Provide clinical leadership and care coordination services including:

  • Oversight of treatment planning and documentation
  • Clinical case coordination and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Weekly treatment audits and quality monitoring
  • Client engagement and continuity-of-care management
  • Team support and treatment compliance oversight



Co-Occurring Disorder Outpatient Counselor

Compensation: Fee-for-service ranging from $50,040 – $167,560 annually, based on caseload, credentials, and productivity.



Provide integrated mental health and substance use disorder treatment including:

  • Individual, family, and group psychotherapy
  • Dual-diagnosis treatment
  • Diagnostic evaluations and reassessments
  • CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed care
  • Treatment coordination and clinical documentation



Addiction Counselor

Compensation: $25 – $40 per hour



Provide substance use disorder treatment services including:

  • Individual and group counseling
  • Relapse prevention and recovery support
  • Diagnostic assessments and treatment planning
  • Residential and outpatient addiction treatment services
  • Psychoeducation and crisis intervention



PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Regularly walk, stand, or stoop; occasionally lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects weighing up to 25 pounds; and regularly drives a motor vehicle.



WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in an office, in client’s homes or in the community; Work exposes incumbent to contagious or infectious diseases; Work may expose incumbent to dangerous and volatile situations which could result in bodily injury.

Competencies & Skills

  • Strong knowledge of psychotherapeutic principles, behavioral health treatment, and integrated care
  • Experience providing mental health and substance use disorder treatment services
  • Strong understanding of DSM-5-TR diagnoses and evidence-based interventions
  • Ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, and clinical reassessments
  • Experience with CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, trauma-informed care, and recovery-oriented treatment approaches
  • Familiarity with COMAR, Medicaid, CARF, OMHC, and behavioral health documentation standards
  • Experience with ICANotes or electronic health record (EHR) systems preferred
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within interdisciplinary teams
  • Strong crisis intervention, problem-solving, and clinical decision-making skills
  • Commitment to culturally responsive, person-centered, and ethical clinical care
  • Ability to maintain timely documentation, billing compliance, and quality assurance standards
  • Leadership and care coordination skills preferred for Treatment Coordinator assignments



Qualifications

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a related behavioral health field required
  • Active Maryland Licensed Psychologist credential required
  • Experience in behavioral health, mental health counseling, substance use treatment, or co-occurring disorder treatment preferred
  • Knowledge of DSM-5-TR diagnosis and evidence-based treatment models
  • Experience with psychotherapy, assessment, treatment planning, and behavioral health documentation
  • Familiarity with COMAR, Medicaid, CARF, and OMHC standards preferred
  • Strong communication, leadership, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
