Job Description

Build automation to provision environments and applications 

Build or leverage existing tools to automate production and non-production deployments 

Enable faster product delivery and time-to-market 

Provide support to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex Integration and/or environmental issues 

Create monitoring solutions and instrument applications to provide insights into performance and to understand emerging issues 

Identify enhancements to improve stability or performance of integration processes 

Pro-actively monitor environment and application health for potential issues and take action to preserve SLAs 

Document respective configurations, processes and procedures 

Make recommendations for architectural enhancements to improve security & performance 

Provide technical assistance for code builds and deployments 

Monitor assigned systems for security and performance on a daily basis 

Administer, update and tune existing non-production infrastructure 


Required Skills & Experience: 

3+ years DevOps experience 

3+ years experience in Linux system administration 

2-3 years development experience using Agile development methodologies 

1+ years experience with automation/configuration management using Puppet, Chef or an equivalent 

Proficient in PowerShell, JavaScript and/or Python 

Strong working knowledge of networking, storage, and virtualization 

Experience with one or more of the following - Java, Ruby, Groovy 

Experience with tuning Linux systems, Java VM s, Application services 

Experience with Build/CI tools Hudson/Jenkins, Bamboo, Maven, Subversion, GIT 

Experience with network and file protocols including HTTP, SFTP, XML, HTML, etc. 

Experience with testing and debugging live systems 

Experience with Load Balancers 

Experience with relational databases with MYSQL being preferred 

Willingness and demonstrate ability to learn new technologies and skills quickly 

Solid understanding of server architectures, operating systems & application resource utilization 

Ability to take ownership of issues and drive them to resolution, strong problem-solving skills
