Functional Team Lead:
Responsibilities include:
- Managing scope and requirements;
- Managing the work from functional design through test;
- Informing the Project Manager of issues that may affect other areas of the Project;Assisting in resolving issues;
- Participating in quality reviews of designs;
- Providing status to Project Management on a regular basis;
- Assisting with defining solution blueprint;
- Confirming and transitioning planning deliverable;
- Working with other team leads to confirm technical architecture analysis deliverables.
- The Functional Lead then transitions into the Development Lead.
Skills and Knowledge should include:
- Deep functional and technical knowledge of the application;
- Custom development experience;
- Strong analytical and supervisory skills;
- Technical Team Lead:
- Experience in managing teams with competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Responsible for supervising deliverable development by software engineers and test analysts.
- Generally, a workstream will be further divided into cells or teams based on functional area, technical needs, and/or project lifecycle demands.
- Supervision includes assigning specific components to specific resources, reviewing deliverables (code, test scripts, unit tests, etc.), participating in checkpoints, reporting status to Project Managers/Workstream Leads, managing resource issues, integrating with other teams to provide a cohesive final product, and managing team level issues and risks.
