Job Description

ā€¢ Techniques: Quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) with dissipation, FTIR, UV, coursework in analytical chemistry, physical chemistry, and statistics

ā€¢ The successful candidate will join a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and engineers involved in assessing cleaning protocols for consumer and pharmaceutical products.Ā 

ā€¢ The candidate will use QCM with dissipation to study residues on manufacturing surfaces.Ā 

ā€¢ Prior knowledge of QCM is not required but considered a plus.Ā 

ā€¢ The candidate will conduct DOE design experiments using the QCM and conduct supporting experiments with spectroscopy techniques such as FTIR or UV-visible spectrometry.Ā 

ā€¢ The position also involves wet lab techniques (preparing solutions); spin coating films onto metallic substrates, and chemical cleaning of substrates.Ā 

ā€¢ Familiarity with basic light microscopy also considered a plus. Ā
