Build and Test-Technical Lead

San Francisco, CA

Fulltime position

Salary range : $85,000/annum + benefits.

JOB ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Experience in debugging, testing the key components like Layer-1 BSP, Device Drivers for Multiple H/W’s like TI OMAP, Infineon (INTEL), Qualcomm (QMS) etc....


2. 4-8 Years in BSP, Device Drivers, Board Bring up , Layer-1 Experience on QUALCOM Chipset with Windows Mobile experience

3. Should have good Experience in 4G –LTE User Equipment components debugging, Testing

4. He / She should have developed multiple components in the mobile devices/wireless devices (smart phones/Tablets) related technical Architect/design/develop solutions

5. Play key role in Wireless Devices design, development and deployment of Mobile Devices (smart phones) and Tablets to a Tier-1 Equipment Manufacturers like Apple, HTC, MOTO (Google), Sony Ericsson, SAMSING, LG etc...

6. Experience customer requirements development and testing solutions which go beyond traditional Wireless Handheld component solutions like Visual Voice mail, Social networking integration, Performance improvement, Audio/Video component solutions etc….

7. Identify opportunities to improve system Performance and optimization, process redesign, or development in Wireless handhelds and Smart devices like phones and tablets


Specific Responsibilities:

1. Integrate SW deliveries from development. This includes labels selection, element version selection, merging, removing rules covered by new labels.

2. SW generation under UNIX for different configurations. In case the build fails, the reason has to be investigated down to the element version change generating the failure.

3. Generate SW metrics (warnings, lines of code, memory foot print, etc.)

4. Download SW onto target Hardware or Form Factors and Check very basic functionality of the SW on target Hardware or Form Factors

5. Should have knowledge on testing STB Devices

6. Report any found issues for further investigation – should have knowledge on how to use bug reporting tools

7. Design and maintain an automated environment for producing software builds

8. Monitor and administer the automated builds and continuous integration process to ensure correct build execution, and facilitate resolution of build failures by Engineering

9. Having an experience on Mobile platforms is mandatory
