Description:
ā€¢ IBM XIV- Creation of storage pools, volumes, mapping VDisks to host.
ā€¢ IBM SVC- Creation of MDG, Vdisk, mapping host, Expand Vdisks
ā€¢ IBM V7000- Creation of MDG, Vdisk, mapping host, Expand Vdisks
ā€¢ Configure host in SVC / XIV and allocate Storage.
ā€¢ Replicate using TPC-R sessions
ā€¢ Failover/Failback using TPC-R(DR Tests)
ā€¢ Flash copy & Metro mirror creation in SVC & XIV.
ā€¢ Advanced trouble shooting skills on storage & switch end when issue arises.
ā€¢ Zoning implementation on CISCO switches.
ā€¢ Performing Storage forecast report on periodic basis.
ā€¢ Fault status checks & respond to alerts from storage and co-ordinate with vendor for repairs
ā€¢ Upgrade SVC/V7000/XIV firmware code.
ā€¢ Design and Carve out mdisk group from IBM SVC
ā€¢ Virtualize the existing storage array behind the SVC.
ā€¢ Implementation of thin provisioning
ā€¢ Migrate the Vdisks across the storage array depending upon the load.
ā€¢ Performance troubleshooting at SVC , External Array, SAN Switch level. Adding extra SVC node to the existin (1.) Incident Management + Change Management (Planning & Execution) On - call Escalation
