Role: Wi-FI Engineer
Location: Philadelphia, PA

Job Type: Contract

JOB DESCRIPTION:
ā€¢ BS degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related technical field
ā€¢ Solid understanding of 802.11 WLAN technologies and IP protocols.
ā€¢ Excellent communication skills
ā€¢ Moderate level knowledge of scripting
ā€¢ Troubleshooting and root-cause-analysis skills.
ā€¢ 3-5 years of experience in networking and wireless technologies.
ā€¢ Regular, consistent and punctual attendance; variable schedule(s) as necessary

Optional:
ā€¢ Experience in home networking protocols and technologies such as Bluetooth, Matter, Wi-Fi and other
ā€¢ Experience with broadband product test including DOCSIS, Ethernet, Cable modem standards
ā€¢ Hands-on experience with device/consumer products test, ideally in high performance applications
ā€¢ Background on automated product test environments and able to assist in test automation/maintenance when necessary
ā€¢ Ability to work with technology partner/vendor teams to drive architecture decisions and troubleshoot problems
ā€¢ Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
ā€¢ Languages: Good knowledge of data science tools, scripting and programming languages

Core Responsibilities
ā€¢ Collaborates closely with Product and Development teams to identify product and technical requirements
ā€¢ Able to resolve engineering investigations which includes identifying, reproducing, and resolving product defects
ā€¢ Reviews and verifies requirements and design specifications for validity in overall product design, with an emphasis towards product architecture requirements, testability and verification
ā€¢ Assists in developing Quality Assurance test philosophies and methodologies; assists in identifying viable test strategies in order to support testing product functionality
ā€¢ Familiar with advanced Wi-Fi test automation frameworks and industry trends from IEEE, WFA, WBA, IETF
ā€¢ Assist in the identification and resolution of problems and defects; able to initiate investigation processes, identifies and reproduces bugs or defects and drives issues and improvements to resolution
