Job Description
Skill and Role Summary:
Business Analyst is responsible for working with Business and IT to gather, define, and document requirements for a Risk Analytics and Risk Reporting Data Warehouse project.
Should have prior experience in planning and executing business design sessions and should have working knowledge of the Risk Analytics (VaRs, Distribution Analytics, Pricing Analytics, and Sensitivities) and current Market Regulatory Requirements (Form PF, UCITS, AIFMD etc.).
The candidate should also have experience in creating and executing Quality Assurance on the project.
Main duties and responsibilities:
· Has an in-depth understanding of risk management (primarily Market Risk) and risk analytics (VAR, Sensitivities, Pricing Analytics, Stress Tests)
· Understand the current regulatory requirements for Investment Management firms, Hedge Funds, Pension Plans etc (UCITS, OPERA, FORM PF etc)
· Has worked on Regulatory Reporting and Risk management project
· Lead discussions with business and IT clients to gather and document requirements, manage prioritization and close on key reports for the solution
· Identify opportunities to improve quality and delivery of regulatory reports.
· Work with the Technical team and Business Users to execute Quality Assurance on the project by defining Test Scenarios, Test Steps, Expected Results, Data Reconciliation etc.
· Create detailed specifications for the reports and work with the Data Architect who would then create those queries and the DW solution.
Requirements:
· Should have either of the following – FRM certification (Financial Risk Management), Masters in Finance, or Professional Risk Manager’s International Association (PRMIA)
· Client facing skills
· Facilitation Skills
· Strong background in Risk Analytics and Reporting
· Experience in Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence is preferred
· Experience in Quality Assurance function on the project
· Communication Skills
