Job Title : Sourcing Assistant

Location : Shelby, TN

Duration : 6 months

Work Schedule : 40 Hours/Week

Responsibilities :

• Participate in bid screening process in support of proposal development regarding construction scope.

• Support development of construction bid packages to solicit construction quotes for commercial proposals

• Schedule and lead the development of construction Division of Responsibility matrices

• Facilitate construction bid reviews with 3rd party contractors and engineering to assess bid scope, and pricing accuracy.

• Facilitate construction bid summary efforts in support of final customer pricing

• Communicate with 3rd party construction companies in response to RFI's (Requests for Information)

• Support with the planning, coordination and execution of a construction fair

Qualifications

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in a technical discipline. MBA and/or financial experience

• A minimum of 2-3 additional years of experience in Sourcing, Production Control, Distribution, or Production Planning

• Willingness and ability to travel domestically at least 20% of the time

• Experience in sourcing transmission & distribution products

• Experience sourcing services

• Experience or familiarity with cost estimating

• Experience with electrical construction or general construction as it pertains to foundations, earthworks and erection of structures

• Familiarity with High Voltage/Medium Voltage electrical equipment as it pertains to electrical substations

• Capable of managing multiple bid/project efforts at one time

• Negotiation expertise

• Strong Interpersonal, communication, presentation and facilitation skills

• Strategic thinker/planner

• Strong quantitative and analytical skills

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products at a general level
