Job Description

Responsibilities For This Role Include

  • Actively participate in the planning of new features and products, with a critical eye toward the creation, maintenance and cost of infrastructure necessary to support them.
  • Support and enable stable systems that support both internal and collaborative partner project development. We have a global customer and partner base so these environments have to be available 24/7.
  • Work with the internal IT team and Pipeline team to design and build scaling infrastructure solutions.
  • Support compliance process, providing builds and liaising with test house representatives to obtain certification in a timely manner.
  • Communicate issues, goals and milestones effectively.
  • Participation - the team is highly collaborative and does code reviews and design meetings regularly.

    Qualifications

    Essential Qualifications

    • DevOps / systems administration experience, preferably at a SaaS-based company.
    • Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration, networking, data storage.
    • Experience with Docker.
    • Curiosity, a desire to learn, and a drive to build highly available systems.
    • Experience working in a high volume data processing environment.
    • Experience with a configuration/deployment management tool (e.g. Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
    • Experience with security policies and practices.
    • Experience with traditional RDBMS (Informix, Postgresql). Knowledge of key-value or document store such as MongoDB would be handy.

    Nice To Haves

    • Experience with AWS or other cloud hosting providers.
    • A working understanding of code and scripting languages (PHP, Python, Perl and/or Ruby)
    • Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service.
