HSE TEAM LEADER ( Shutdown/ turnaround )
About this role
Manage and lead the HSE team to the overall administration and implementation of HSE Initiatives, programs and procedures.
Participate in the development and implementation of operational risk assessments to help in identifying & mitigating hazards for critical activities.
Conduct Behavioural Safety Audits (BSA) and high profile tours as per HSEMS guidelines.
Carryout or arrange workplace HSE inspections and audits and ensure that any remedial recommendations are implemented.
Audit subcontractors for compliance with HSE systems and procedures.
Maintain accident statistics, analyse trends and propose and take remedial actions where necessary.
Ensure that company HSE policies, procedures, regulations and objectives are effectively implemented.
Foster continuous improvement of existing HSE Management Systems through sharing of best practices.
Monitor HSE Performance of Subcontractors and ensure contractual and other relevant requirements are satisfied adequately.
Assist with investigation of accidents, incidents (including ‘near misses’) and dangerous occurrences and make recommendations to prevent recurrence.
Develop and manage HSE awareness campaigns.
Ensure that all critical activities are risk assessed, and control measures are applied before execution.
Manage activities undertaken by subordinates.
Identify HSE training needs for subordinates.
Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of all laws surrounding construction safety, develops and implements policies, procedures and other company-wide safety standards.
Establishment, implementation and improvement of the HSE Management Plan, Company’s HSE policy requirement, HSE Policies, performance standards, objectives and targets
Setting up project HSE programs and procedures including training and audit programs to ensure they meet project HSE goals and objectives and preparing and implementing remedial/improvement initiatives to address areas of inadequacy.
Management of all HSE support functions, including recruitment and HSE training.
Bachelors Or Mechanical Engineering/Safety Engineering
A candidate must have experience of 10-12 years in Safety , in oil & Gas Process Plant / Cross country Pipeline Projects/Shut down and turnaround
Person should be OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001 Lead Auditor.
Must be a NEBOSH holder or OSHA trained.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
10-12 years of experience in HSE especially from oil and gas sector Shutdown /Turnaround.
Saudi / Gulf experience will be preference.
