About this role

Morris & Ritchie Associates, Inc. (MRA) is currently seeking a Civil Project Engineer with 5 - 10 years of experience to join our team in our Georgetown, DE office. This position is responsible for hands-on design and support of land development projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead site design for commercial and residential projects, focusing on grading, Stormwater Management (SWM),and Erosion & Sediment Control (ESC).
  • Produce comprehensive construction documents and technical reports utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Coordinate directly with regulatory agencies to navigate and secure necessary project permits.
  • Manage project schedules and deliverables for multiple simultaneous developments.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve complex engineering challenges during the planning and design phases.
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering
  • PE license preferred
  • 5-10 years of experience in land development (Stormwater Management (SWM), Storm Drain, Grading, Erosion & Sediment Control (ESC) Design)
  • Water resources experience preferred
  • Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously, including schedules and permitting coordination
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD required (Civil 3D preferred).

SCHEDULE: This position follows a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Occasional overtime may be required based on project needs.

COMPENSATION: Overtime is compensated at straight time for all hours worked beyond 40 in a given week.

WORK LOCATION: This is a fully in-office role in Georgetown, DE; remote and hybrid work options are not available.

RELOCATION Relocation assistance to Georgetown, Delaware may be provided for exceptional candidates.
