About this role

Evolve Recycling is looking for full-time permanent Rasper Machine Operator to work in our tire recycling facility in Brantford, ON. Evolve Recycling is Canada's leader in tire recycling turning used tires into usable products such as multi-purpose matting, artificial sports surfaces and other innovative products.

Continental Night Shift: 7pm-7am

 

Wage: $23/hr 

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Start-up and shutdown of machines
  • Complete pre-start checklists and daily production reports
  • Assist with scheduled maintenance (bi-weekly)
  • Monitor belts to ensure no jams, stoppages, overall performance of machine
  • Monitor metal detectors and look for contaminants in material (metal, wood, debris, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and make adjustments as required
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Assist other operators when required

Requirements:

  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
  • Must be mechanically inclined with good problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attendance & punctuality
  • Fast learner who is able to follow instructions
  • Able to stand for duration of shift and constantly lift up to 50lbs
  • Previous experience as a machine operator in a production/manufacturing facility is an asset
