Job Description 

Position Title: Rental Technician (Ski + Snowboard)

Location: Niseko, Hakuba and Furano, Japan

Reports to: Rental Manager and/or Store Manager (in each location)
Contract Term: Exact dates TBC - October/November, 2026 - April 2027
Salary: ¥1,700 per hour, starting

The Role

As a Rental Technician, you will be talking about skis and/or snowboards, and snow conditions all day with guests and generally stoking people out. You will assist them with rental selection, boot fitting and ensure skis are set up correctly and safely. You need to be genuinely passionate about the snow, so you can stoke out our guests with your knowledge as a friendly expert

Key Responsibilities and Duties 

• Help guests find the right gear by understanding their needs and guiding them through equipment selection and setup
• Complete rental processes accurately to keep everything running smoothly
• Share your knowledge of retail products and resort info to give guests the best experience possible
• Show guests how to use and care for their equipment so they feel confident hitting the slopes
• Keep the rental space clean, organized, and welcoming
• Use the EasyRent system to accurately assign gear and ensure guest accounts are up to date
• Follow all safety standards, procedures, and store policies to keep guests and team members safe
• Support daily store opening and closing routines
• Work as part of a supportive, cross-functional team — jumping in to help wherever needed

• Guest-focused with a genuine enjoyment of helping people find the right gear and feel confident using it
• Accurate and efficient in completing rental processes and using the EasyRent system
• Knowledgeable about equipment, retail products, and the local resort
• A strong team player who supports store opening and closing routines and jumps in wherever needed
• Committed to maintaining a clean, welcoming, and safe environment
• Follows safety procedures and handles equipment with care
• High stoke factor and a passion for the snow industry
