Position Title: Operations Assistant
Location: Niseko, Japan
Reports to: Snowsports Operations Manager
Contract Term: November, 2026 - April 2027 (exact dates, TBC)
Salary: ¥1,800 per hour, starting (DOE)

The Role
As the Snowsports Operations Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to support the efficient and smooth operation of our Snowsports programs. You will assist in various administrative, logistical, and customer service tasks, ensuring a positive experience for guests & staff and contributing to the overall success of our Snowsports operations.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Program Support:
- Assist with the organisation and logistics of the Privates Programs and Futures Programs.
- Assist with the organisation and logistics of Training Program
- Assist with other Snowsport programs (if needed)
- Liaise with instructors to assist with locating their guests or dealing with any problems or issues that may arise during the lesson time
- Driving guests or instructors to their lesson start location as needed, including in an emergency.
- Assist with vehicle logistics and process; handover keys for product and other support daily
Administrative Support:
- Assist in preparing and distributing reports, memos, and other documents related to Snowsports operations.
- Provide general Snowsport administrative support, including data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
- Assist with staff scheduling, timekeeping, and payroll processes as needed.
- Provide administrative support to the Snowsports Operations Manager
- Contribute to the development, improvement and efficiency of operational procedures and systems.
Customer Service
- Provide excellent customer service to participants, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience.
- Assist with guest check-ins and check-outs; provide updates to the team on guests who may be less and be proactive in finding solutions that best meet the guest's goals.
- Communicate program details, schedules, and updates to instructors/guests as needed.
What You Need to Succeed

- Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role, preferably within the snowsports or outdoor recreation industry.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Detail-oriented mindset, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software applications for data entry, scheduling, and record-keeping.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with staff from various departments.
- Knowledge of Snowsports and equipment is desirable.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures.
- Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Holding a Japanese or International Driving Licence (IDL) and happy to drive Rhythm vehicles
