Pre-Series Analyst
Work with suppliers to ensure pilot parts are delivered by the MRD (Material Required Date) logistics of the assembly parts to the different plants in Mexico and USA.
Pilot part requirements are in the online Pilot Portal System with quantities, dates, locations, engineering level. Analyst must follow up the tickets prior the pilot build and make sure suppliers provide updates or assist them to provide status and feedback.
When suppliers are unable to meet MRD, Pre Series Analyst is responsible to ensure a root cause is understood and documented and follow up with required departments (Purchasing, Supplier, Design, Engineering).
General Activities:
The activities for the Pre-series Analyst are but not limited to the following:
- Monitor pilot part requirements in the online Pilot Portal System, including quantities, dates, locations, and engineering levels.
- Follow up on tickets prior to the pilot build, ensuring suppliers provide timely updates and assist them in providing status or feedback as needed.
- When suppliers are unable to meet the Material Required Date (MRD), ensure the root cause is identified, documented, and addressed by coordinating with relevant departments (Purchasing, Supplier, Design, Engineering).
- Maintain consistent communication with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery of parts for the pilot build.
- Act as a liaison between suppliers and the company regarding questions and concerns about the availability of pilot parts.
- Analyze issues or assigned projects using engineering knowledge and expertise.
- Transcribe and input information into digital systems, ensuring they are kept up to date.
- Prepare regular reports on activities performed, or any other reports requested by supervisors."
- Bachelor in Engineering or Logistics / Supply Chain 3–5 years of experience
- Experience in Logistics, supply chain
- Customer service experience
- Knowledge in EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) and ASN (Advance Shipping Notice)
- Experience in Data management: Accurately inputting and updating information in digital systems and tracking part requirements
- MS Excel advanced.
- Engineering knowledge: Basic understanding of engineering principles for analyzing production issues.
- ERP/Portal Systems proficiency: Experience with tracking parts and managing project tickets using specialized systems.
- Project management: Overseeing timelines, ticket follow-ups, and coordinating part deliveries.
- Reporting and documentation: Creating detailed reports and ensuring accurate documentation of project details.
