You will be responsible for driving the sales process with prospective customers as well as expansion within existing accounts. You know what it takes to navigate through organizations, multi-thread with different stakeholders when needed, and engage both decision-makers and business line owners. You understand your clients' business objectives and closely align your SaaS offering to those to create a solution your clients can't live without. You see beyond the quick sale and are comfortable gathering customer feedback and requests, delivering those to internal teams, and you know how to manage other stakeholders internally to help support you in your quest to solve your prospective customers’ problems. Your storytelling skills are unmatched so effectively communicating across multiple departments and industries won’t be a problem for you. You thrive in dynamic and collaborative environments and understand that constant change and ambiguity is a part of scale-up life. You are detail oriented, a self-starter, and have very strong business acumen.  You are coachable and ready to grow with an organization!


Role Overview

  • You'll own a full sales cycle, from identifying stakeholders, to booking meetings with decision makers, to shepherding and closing deals. 
  • This job will require at least 30% top of funnel activities (i.e. cold calling, emailing, LinkedIn messaging etc), however there is a good amount of inbound activity
  • You will inform and shape the team’s strategy by tracking your sales performance metrics, activity and reporting them to the rest of the team on a regular basis
  • You'll be leveraging our CRM & sales automation tools to deploy a mix of creative sales strategies to interact with your prospects
  • Maintain a high conversion rate from top of funnel to close - leveraging your skills and experience to communicate value while driving relationships with amazing legal professionals


Responsibilities

  • Drive success of the company’s goals and objectives through achieving individual sales quotas
  • Build and manage a sales pipeline through prospecting efforts into a geographic territory or within the core verticals
  • Follow up with inbound inquiries in a timely, professional, and persistent manner
  • Develop and deliver customized sales presentations and products demonstrations, by phone, via online demo or in person
  • Develop and negotiate proposals and contracts
  • Forecast sales activity and revenue achievements accurately through proper use of sales tools 
  • Collaborate effectively and engage various pre/post sales resources including BDRs, Product Specialists, Customer Success Managers, as well as Legal, Security, Professional Services and Customer Support

  • You have a track record of previous success in a full-cycle role, between 3 - 7 years of full-cycle experience, consistently smashing your targets and working collaboratively with your team
  • A growth mindset, with a strong desire to improve your sales skills through coaching and mentorship
  • Outstanding communication skills and a knack for building trust-based relationships
  • The ability to quickly pinpoint problems, handle objections, and come up with creative solutions to keep the action going
  • You use a consultative approach when helping clients with a focus on needs discovery, and you have an ease to build trust to influence their decisions
  • You enjoy collaboration and you are used to working closely with other functions like Marketing and Product to build feedback loops between Sales and the rest of the business.


Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in an AE role or equivalent quota-carrying role


Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years SaaS sales experience
  • Proficient computer application skills, including Hubspot and G-Suite
  • Experience selling web-based products/services
  • Experience managing and closing complex sales cycles
  • Demonstrated ability to over-achieve quotas
  • Startup experience is considered a strong asset
