Baker

You know baking is more than just following a recipe.

You understand dough development, fermentation, proofing, timing, consistency, and the satisfaction of pulling a perfectly baked loaf from the oven.

At COBS Bread Driftwood Mall, we're looking for an experienced Baker to join our team and help produce the fresh breads and baked goods our customers enjoy every day.

This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in quality, works well with a team, and enjoys the fast pace of a commercial bakery.

What You'll Be Doing

Mixing, scaling, shaping, proofing, and baking a variety of bread and bakery products

Maintaining product quality, consistency, and presentation standards

Managing production schedules to ensure fresh products are ready throughout the day

Receiving, rotating, and handling ingredients and supplies

Maintaining food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards

Working closely with fellow Bakers and bakery staff to keep production running smoothly

✔ Previous baking experience in a commercial bakery, grocery bakery, restaurant, hotel, or food production environment

✔ Strong understanding of baking processes and food safety practices

✔ Ability to work efficiently and independently

✔ Reliable, punctual, and organized

✔ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

✔ A positive attitude and willingness to support the team

✔ Ability to lift up to 20 kg (44 lbs)
