About the Role

As a Kaiāwhina, you’ll play a key support role in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where tamariki can thrive. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same.

You will:

· Support our Kaiako in delivering quality early childhood education

· Assist with supervising pēpi and tamariki (under and over 2 years)

· Help with food preparation and daily centre routines

· Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment

· Contribute to a positive learning atmosphere grounded in te ao Māori

About You

We’re looking for someone who is caring, reliable, and ready to grow.

You will bring:

· A genuine passion for working with tamariki

· Experience in early childhood education or with young children (preferred but not essential)

· Confidence working with both under 2’s and over 2’s

· A commitment to learn and undertake further training

· Respect for and/or understanding of Māori culture, tikanga and reo (or strong willingness to learn)

· Flexibility, initiative, and a strong team mindset

Requirements:

· NZ residency or valid right to work in Aotearoa

· Ability to pass a Children’s Act 2014 safety check (Core Worker)
