We’re on the lookout for a passionate, hands‑on Assistant Bar Manager who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and loves leading from the floor. Working closely with the Bar Manager, you’ll help drive daily bar operations, inspire the team, and ensure every guest enjoys outstanding service. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the smooth running of daily bar operations, including opening/closing procedures, stock control, and team rostering.
- Take pride in ensuring excellent hygiene, health & safety, and licensing standards always doing the right thing for guests and colleagues.
- Keep stock levels on point, managing orders and minimising waste.
- Proactively identify issues and opportunities, bringing energy & drive to everything you do.
- Deliver warm, professional, and engaging service, with
Care at the heart of every interaction. - Handle guest feedback, queries, and complaints confidently and professionally.
- Continuously look for ways to improve the guest experience because we’re always getting better.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, and day‑to‑day supervision of the bar team.
- Motivate, coach, and support colleagues to help them grow in confidence and skill.
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and respectful team culture where people enjoy coming to work.
- Support the development of promotions, seasonal offers, and themed events.
- Work closely with marketing to bring ideas to life and boost bar revenue.
- Encourage confident upselling through strong product knowledge and guest engagement.
- Ensure the bar always looks inviting, well‑maintained, and professionally presented.
- Lead by example when it comes to standards, appearance, and attitude.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety at all times.
- Support the review and updating of SOPs to ensure full compliance.
- Stay up to date with relevant legislation, including Health & Safety, Licensing, and Consumer Law.
- Ensure company dress and grooming standards are upheld, reflecting pride in our workplace and brand.

- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within a bar or hospitality environment.
