Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, feeding, hygiene, and general daily care
- Safely transport patients within the hospital, including pre- and post-operative movement
- Maintain cleanliness by changing linens and cleaning/sterilizing equipment and patient areas
- Support the Operating Theatre with patient handling, equipment movement, and cleaning procedures
- Transport specimens, blood products, meals, and supplies throughout the hospital
- Monitor and manage oxygen cylinders and assist with basic equipment checks
- Collect and dispose of clinical waste in accordance with safety procedures
- Restock medical supplies and assist with general ward and theatre support tasks
- Report equipment issues and ensure safe handling of hospital resources
- Carry out any additional duties as required within the role scope
Key Skills & Requirements:
- Minimum of to CXC subjects
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
- Computer proficiency
- Ability to clean, sanitize, and safely dispose of biological waste
- Strong patient-handling skills with focus on safety and comfort
- Strong interpersonal skills with a caring and professional attitude
- Team oriented
