Emergency Medical Technician
Summary of main duties:
- Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls calmly and professionally
- Provide life-saving care, including resuscitation and trauma support
- Safely drive and maintain emergency vehicles and equipment
- Communicate with hospitals and medical teams for coordinated patient care
- Complete detailed reports and maintain patient confidentiality
- Assist with scene control, patient transport and family support
- Support event standby, dispatch, shuttle and orderly duties as needed
- Handle payment processing and provide excellent customer service
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Knowledge of emergency medical procedures, medical terminology and applicable current standards of care
- Knowledge of local geography
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Skilled in the operation of ambulances, medical equipment, radio and computer systems
- At least one (1) year experience in similar role
