We are looking for an ambitious and result-oriented genius to join our clinical team as a Nurse to help provide top-notch medical care to our clients.

Responsibilities

Patient assessment and care

  • Welcome and prepare patients for consultations, treatments, or procedures.
  • Gather detailed patient health history and record it accurately.
  • Carry out basic physical checks, including vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
  • Decide how urgently each patient needs care and inform the supervising nurse or doctor.
  • Assist with minor procedures and treatments as directed by medical staff.
  • Monitor patients after procedures and report any concerns immediately.

 

Sample collection and handling

  • Collect blood and other samples safely using correct techniques.
  • Label each sample clearly with patient details and test information.
  • Adjust collection methods to suit different patient groups, such as children or elderly patients.
  • Package and store samples properly to avoid mix-ups or damage.
  • Deliver all samples to the laboratory promptly and confirm that none are missing.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and well-supplied at all times.

 

Health education and counselling

  • Explain treatment plans, test procedures, and next steps in simple, clear language.
  • Answer patients’ questions about their care or the collection process.
  • Provide extra information when needed and ensure patients understand what to expect.
  • Educate patients on healthy lifestyle habits such as nutrition, exercise, and stress management.
  • Offer kind, supportive, and non-judgmental counselling to encourage healthy choices.

 

Documentation and medical records

  • Record patient assessments, procedures, and sample details accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Keep all data up to date and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Generate reports and summaries as required for quality reviews or clinical meetings.

 

Patient advocacy and safety

  • Treat every patient with respect, empathy, and professionalism.
  • Help patients understand their rights, treatment plans, and test results when shared.
  • Follow all infection control, safety, and waste disposal procedures.
  • Ensure all tools, equipment, and supplies are ready for safe use before starting any procedure.

 

Teamwork and collaboration

  • Work closely with doctors, nurses, laboratory staff, and pharmacists to deliver coordinated care.
  • Communicate clearly with team members to avoid delays or errors.
  • Participate in daily team meetings and share feedback on how to improve care and workflow.

 

Continuous learning and improvement

  • Take part in training sessions to strengthen clinical and communication skills.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and share ideas with the clinical team.
  • Support a culture of safety, respect, and learning within the clinic.

 

Required:

  • Minimum of Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Nursing, Degree in Nursing, and Registered Nurse and/or Midwife with a valid license to practice.
  • 0 - 1 year of work experience
  • Reside within a 10km radius of the clinic.

Nice to Have:

  • Ability to counsel patients and provide health advice in more than one local or regional language.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) or digital charting systems.
  • Comfortable using basic technology, including laptops, tablets, and Microsoft Office software.
  • Phlebotomy skills for sample collection and handling.
  • Ability to work a 12-hour shift within a clinic setting.
