Project Manager

We currently have a vacancy for a Project Manager fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Valletta, Malta. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team.

Your tasks

• Determine and document projects’ goals, scope, quality, tasks, and deadlines;
• Create and maintain detailed project descriptions/plans outlining schedules, resources, deliverables, and milestones;
• Document and handle any changes in project scope, schedule, or resources effectively;
• Track project progress against milestones and timelines to ensure timely completion;
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation (for operational efficiency, future reference and compliance);
• Prepare and present regular/weekly status reports to stakeholders and senior management;
• Conduct project reviews, ensure deliverables approval, challenge performance, and document lessons learned;
• Ensure compliance of project activities with the organization’s rules, standards, and governance;
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies;
• Implement, support and monitor quality control Key Performance Indicators (KPIs);
• Manage demand by capturing business needs and prioritizing them for effective translation into potential ICT projects;
• Oversee and ensure the effective execution of evolutionary maintenance activities for ICT applications;
• Manage critical path, dependencies, and day-to-day project execution to deliver on time, in scope and within budget;
• Support the strengthening of project management capabilities and maturity through training and effective change management,

• University degree combined with relevant IT professional experience of 10 years;
• Experience with project management methodologies (PRINCE2, PM2, PMP);
• Experience with project coordination and training procedures using recognised methodologies;
• Experience with project management of digital/ICT-related projects, with the ability to use project management and enterprise architecture methodologies;
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Atlassian suite, Azure DevOps or equivalent;
• Experience with project management across the full lifecycle (independently managed IT projects over the full project lifecycle, from initiation to closure);
• Experience with managing outsourced ICT developments;
• Experience with working with EU agencies or similar institutional environments;
• Experience with process optimization and continuous improvement;
• Experience with portfolio management and demand management;
• Experience with independent task management using project management tools; (SharePoint environment, Atlassian suite, Azure DevOps or similar software);
• Experience with design and conducting user acceptance testing;
• Experience with ICT efficiency and continuous improvement;
• Experience with supporting enterprise architecture alignment;
• Strong understanding of governance and enterprise architecture;
• Excellent command of the English language.
