About this role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst with experience in the insurance domain, data migration initiatives, and Master Data Management (MDM). The ideal candidate will support large-scale transformation projects involving policy, claims, underwriting, and customer data while ensuring high data quality, integrity, and governance standards.

This role requires strong analytical skills, business domain knowledge in insurance, and hands-on experience in data mapping, reconciliation, validation, and MDM processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Insurance Domain Data Analysis

·       Analyze insurance data across Policy Administration, Claims, Underwriting, Billing, and Reinsurance systems

·       Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and regulatory needs

·       Interpret complex insurance data models and business rules

2. Data Migration

·       Perform source-to-target data mapping and transformation logic documentation

·       Conduct data profiling, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation activities

·       Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and quality issues during migration

·       Support migration from legacy systems to modern core insurance platforms

·       Validate migrated data through UAT and post-migration audits

3. Master Data Management (MDM)

·       Support implementation and maintenance of MDM frameworks

·       Manage different data sets and data sources.

·       Define and monitor data quality KPIs

·       Ensure standardization, de-duplication, and golden record creation

·       Work with governance teams to enforce data standards and policies

4. Reporting & Insights

·       Develop dashboards and reports using tools such as Microsoft Power BI and Tableau

·       Perform ad-hoc analysis to support underwriting and claims performance

·       Present data insights to business and leadership teams

Required Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, or related field

·       4–8 years of experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in the insurance domain

·       Strong SQL skills (e.g., Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, , MySQL)

·       Experience in data migration projects (ETL, mapping, reconciliation)

·       Hands-on experience with Master Data Management concepts and tools

·       Strong understanding of data governance and data quality frameworks

·       Knowledge of insurance regulatory requirements and compliance standards

·       Proficiency in Excel and data analysis techniques

·       Knowledge of visualization tools will be an added advantage
