We are expanding our Subsea Pipelines capability in Malaysia and are seeking a Project Engineer to support both the delivery of projects and the growth of our regional presence.

This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role with exposure to project execution and client-facing activities, offering the opportunity to develop into a broader, commercially aware position.

Working closely with operations, clients, and regional leadership, you will support the safe and efficient delivery of subsea pipeline and pre-commissioning projects across Malaysia and the wider APAC region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of subsea pipeline and pre-commissioning projects from planning through to offshore delivery
  • Coordinate mobilisation of personnel, equipment, and vessels to ensure efficient project execution
  • Deliver and support activities across:
    • Subsea pipelines and SURF operations
    • Pigging and pipeline cleaning
    • Pre-commissioning and commissioning services
    • Umbilical and riser testing and flushing
    • Nitrogen dewatering and FCGT (Fill, Clean, Gauge & Hydrotest)
    • Subsea pumping and testing units
  • Assist in pipeline engineering scope including calculations, testing, integrity, and system readiness
  • Support tendering activities including technical evaluations, cost inputs, and proposal development
  • Interface with clients on technical delivery, with exposure to business development and tender support
  • Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, and operational standards at all times
  • Support preparation of technical proposals, project documentation, and execution plans

 

Requirements

  • 10+ years’ experience within subsea / pipeline / pre-commissioning environments
  • Strong technical understanding with a willingness to be hands-on
    • Dewatering with Nitrogen Membrane spread and Coil tubing experience would be ideal.
  • Experience in tendering, technical calculations, and project execution
  • Good knowledge of the local Malaysian supply chain and vendor landscape
  • Project execution experience in Indonesia is an added advantage
  • Good communication skills with the ability to engage clients and stakeholders
  • Exposure to business development or client interaction is an advantage
  • Fluent English (spoken and written)
