Position Overview

AHOY is looking for a Senior IT Specialist who can bridge technology and business needs, ensuring our IT landscape not only supports but accelerates organizational growth. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on execution—ideal for someone who thrives at both the server room and the boardroom table.

You will manage and optimize our IT infrastructure, ensure system reliability, address technical challenges, and evaluate emerging technologies that can give us a competitive edge. Above all, you will align every IT initiative with AHOY’s business goals, driving efficiency, security, and innovation across the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the management, maintenance, and continuous improvement of IT infrastructure and systems.
  • Partner with leadership to align IT strategy with business objectives and growth plans.
  • Oversee system security, data integrity, and compliance with industry best practices.
  • Respond to and resolve IT issues with speed and professionalism, ensuring minimal disruption.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement new technologies to improve operational efficiency.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate IT service contracts.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to team members on IT systems and tools.

  • Requirements
    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
    • 8+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role.
    • Strong background in IT infrastructure management, networking, and systems administration.
    • Proven experience aligning IT strategies with business goals in a growing organization.
    • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, data protection, and disaster recovery planning.
    • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
