The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Administrator / Head of Infrastructure to lead and evolve our IT function. You will manage a small, capable team (IT Support and Systems Administration) and take ownership of our internal and external systems to ensure high availability, security, and continuous improvement.

This is a hands-on leadership role, combining strategic oversight with operational execution. You will be responsible for infrastructure and IT service management, security hygiene, and effective delivery through a mix of in-house capabilities and carefully selected vendors.

Key Objective

Maintain, enhance, and continuously improve OQtima’s existing IT infrastructure to support business growth, scalability, and resilience.

What You Will Do

• Own and drive the IT infrastructure strategy and roadmap, reporting progress directly to the CEO.
• Lead day-to-day IT operations, including networks, cloud and on-prem infrastructure, endpoints, backups, monitoring, and incident/change management.
• Ensure system availability, performance, security, and cost efficiency across all infrastructure and tooling.
• Define and enforce security baselines, including IAM/MFA, patching, MDM, DR/BCP, vulnerability management, and logging.
• Manage third-party vendors and partners, including SOWs, SLAs, quality controls, code reviews, and budget oversight.
• Establish and maintain clear IT policies, procedures, and lightweight ITIL-based processes for incidents and changes.
• Evaluate, test, and introduce new systems and technologies aligned with business needs.
• Ensure comprehensive documentation of all IT systems, processes, procedures, and policies.
• Oversee and actively support the resolution of day-to-day IT support issues.

Your Qualifications

• Proven experience as an IT Manager or Head of IT, with a strong operations and hands-on background.
• Solid expertise in infrastructure and IT service management.
• Strong technical experience across:
  • Local networks and storage solutions
  • DNS and VPN systems
  • Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace
  • Cloud platforms (Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure)
  • Email systems, antivirus, monitoring, and file-sharing solutions
• Working knowledge of security and compliance frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001 practices, DR/BCP).
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills and fluent English.
• Nice to have: Experience in Forex, iGaming, or fintech environments; relevant certifications such as ITIL, ISO 27001, PMP/PRINCE2, CISSP/CISM, or cloud certifications.
