Remote Accountant & Asset Manager for Renewable Energy Company

Work From Anywhere in LATAM

Work Schedule: EST │ Overlap with US business hours (Monday–Friday)

Compensation Range: $2000 USD/month based on experience

A fast-growing renewable energy company specializing in distributed solar assets is looking for an Accountant to take full ownership of full-cycle accounting and asset management across a portfolio of operating solar project entities.

The organization manages a globally scaling portfolio of solar projects across multiple legal entities, with a strong emphasis on operational excellence, financial discipline, and audit-ready reporting. The environment is process-driven and remote-first, suited to professionals comfortable owning systems across several entities at once.

Day-to-day, the role spans journal entries, AP/AR, reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and monthly, quarterly, and annual closes, alongside regulatory filings and coordination with utilities, lenders, and O&M providers. Success means accurate, audit-ready records across every entity and timely, reliable reporting to lenders, auditors, and regulatory authorities.

Must-Have

• 3–5+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience with full-cycle ownership (AP, AR, reconciliations, fixed assets, and month-end close)
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP/accounting platform
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and double-entry bookkeeping
• Demonstrated experience managing accounting across multiple entities or projects simultaneously
• Experience preparing financial statements and reports for ownership, lenders, and auditors
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reconciliations and financial reporting
• C1+ English (CEFR) for direct communication with US-based leadership, lenders, and auditors

Nice-to-Have

• Experience in renewable energy, real estate, or project finance
• Familiarity with regulatory filings such as REC retirements or LLC reports
• Exposure to PPA, site lease, or project contract administration
• Experience using automation or workflow management tools
