Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and production of a wide variety of pastries, desserts, breads, and confectionery items under the supervision of senior pastry chefs.
- Follow recipes and presentation standards to ensure consistency and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the pastry kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients.
- Assist in inventory management, stock rotation, and ordering supplies as needed.
- Work closely with other kitchen departments to ensure smooth operation.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and company policies.
- Continuously learn and improve pastry techniques and knowledge.
- Previous experience as a Commis 1 - Pastry or similar role in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment.
- Basic knowledge of pastry techniques, baking, and dessert presentation.
- Strong attention to detail and creativity.
- Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
- A willingness to learn and develop professionally.
