NYNN is a series of inspiring places for inspiring people. We handcraft unique environments and experiences, from members’ clubs to resort hotels, to entertainment gastronomies and more. NYNN is developing a portfolio of diverse concepts in Greece with the intention to travel. NYNN is initiated and bootstrapped by Temes S.A., developer of Costa Navarino.

Our first concept is House of NYNN, a private lifestyle members’ club, located at The Ilisian. Spread across three levels and over 5,500 SQM, House of NYNN is designed for balance - where pleasure, work, fitness, and wellbeing come together effortlessly. Thoughtfully curated spaces include laid-back dining, vibrant bars, smart workspaces, next-gen fitness, and the largest outdoor pool in central Athens. A rich calendar of events, experiences, and entertainment that cuts through the noise, bring together a community that moves with intention. 

As NYNN continues to grow, new concepts are being developed that reflect our evolving vision and our ambition to create places that move with intention. Among them are Galaxy, a destination gastronomic concept on the 13th floor of The Ilisian, and Oasis Restaurant, an Italian poolside dining concept located at the Oasis outdoor pool landscape and operated by House of NYNN.

ABOUT YOU 

We are looking for a talented Sous Chef with a Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience in Hospitality, to support our culinary team at House of NYNN. During the summer season (April–October), you will be based at Oasis, a poolside Italian restaurant, while during the winter period you will work across other outlets operated by NYNN. To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong eye for detail, creativity, high hygiene standards and an understanding of raw materials. Our ideal team member thrives in a fast-paced kitchen and works well under pressure. ABOUT THE ROLE 

As Sous Chef you will focus on day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional quality and consistency in food preparation and presentation, member satisfaction, and continuous improvement. Your key responsibilities will include the following:

Kitchen Operations, Team Leadership, and Compliance

  • Participate in daily kitchen operations, ensuring all dishes meet the established concept, high-service standards, quality, and presentation.

  • Work closely with cooks of all levels, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback as needed to foster a positive work environment.

  • Deputize the Head Chef’s absence.

  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and report any issues promptly.

  • Participate in establishing and running kitchen wastage control policies and instruments.

  • Support strict adherence to kitchen health, safety, and sanitation standards.

  • Support full compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.

Menu Development, Inventory, and Administrative Management

  • Support the Head of Culinary and Head Chef in research and development (R&D) of new dishes, ingredients, and techniques as needed.

  • Work closely with the Head Chef to refine the menu based on member feedback, seasonality, and research output. Assist in creating custom menus for special events and functions.

  • Participate in inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and proper storage of food and supplies.

  • Maintain updated and accurate costing of all dishes prepared. Monitor deviations and ensure the Head Chef is always informed.

  • Support the Head Chef in administrative preparation and financial management of the kitchen.

  • Attend meetings and other administrative sessions as needed.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE 

  • Minimum one year of experience as a Sous Chef, in a high-end dining establishment

  • Experience in an Italian restaurant is preferred

  • Strong knowledge of and experience in a specific culinary section e.g., fish, meat, grill, larder

  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment

  • Creative and innovative mindset, with a passion for culinary arts

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Great leadership skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team

  • Flexible schedule, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • Eligible to work in the EU, either by holding an EU passport or having appropriate work authorization
