About this role

SALARY: $ 21.50 per hour with a $0.75 shift differential


This position is the Team Lead of all employees of the Receiving department and is responsible for inventory management of incoming company products necessary to package and ship.


Weekend Shift:  Friday - Sunday  7:00am - 7:30pm (12 hour shifts)

You will be responsible for...

  • Receive and log all incoming products
  • Perform random sampling on all incoming product purchase orders and forwards to QC for evaluation
  • Transport product to put-away area
  • Label boxes with product information
  • Help to keep warehouse clean and organized
  • Manage incoming shipments and receiving records
  • Train and supervise all Receiving department team members
  • Manage and report receiving discrepancies; report product details to procurement department, i.e. quantities, part numbers, products
  • Supervise the put away and pick processes
  • Assist with inventory management
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized area
  • Examine work for exactness, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures
  • Follow safety and dress codes
  • Follow ISO/TL9000 requirements as it pertains to position

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, or GED
  • Valid driver’s license; satisfactory completion of Superior’s forklift training program 
  • 1-year of previous supply chain experience preferred
  • 1-year of previous team leader experience preferred
  • Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS), preferred
  • Computer proficiency of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Must be able to read and write in English; bilingual a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-confidence to lead; able to work in team environment
  • Problem solving skills; able to analyze situations, including ability to spot issues in efficiency/productivity and suggest improvements
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business teams
  • Able to prioritize effectively; able to learn quickly and follow detailed instructions
  • Able to adapt to changing job requirements



WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position works in a warehouse/distribution center setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday.


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.  The noise level in the work environment and can be loud.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters and tape dispensers.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

 While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee frequently is required to stand; walk, and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and maneuver around pallets.  The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects between 15 to 25 pounds.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects over 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
