About this role

At Tall Tree, you’ll join an award-winning clinic focused on exceptional integrated healthcare. We’re a diverse team that is endlessly nerdy— we love learning, teaching, and keeping up to date with the latest research. We’re the most multidisciplinary and comprehensive team in private healthcare in BC; we put each client at the center of this with our goal to match everyone with the right clinician or team of clinicians. We take pride in our passionate clinicians, inspiring and uplifting facilities, high-quality health services, and exceptional customer service. We’re committed to delivering healthcare in the best possible way— and we have a singular culture of respect, warmth, curiosity and enthusiasm that makes being a part of the Tall Tree team something to be truly proud of.

As an employer, we aim to be the top choice in healthcare in BC. We want to be the only place you'd want to work. Our workplaces are amazing, both physically and socially, and we offer all the usual perks. But we also invest hundreds of thousands of dollars in education for our team every year. We believe that when our team members are happy and engaged, they're better equipped to deliver exceptional patient care.

Hours:

We are open to both part-time, or full-time applicants.

Compensation:

The estimated annual earnings for this role are $200,000–$225,000+, based on working five days per week. Actual earnings may vary depending on experience and qualifications.

Come join a team that is nerdy about best practices, learning, and having fun while doing it. As a Psychologist at Tall Tree, you’ll be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team that includes physiotherapists, OTs, clinical counsellors, and more—all united by a shared commitment to integrated, patient-centred care. You’ll have ongoing opportunities for co-treatment, warm handoffs, and genuine interdisciplinary collaboration.

One of our core values is constant ongoing improvement. From Lunch & Learns, Papers & Pints nights, the annual Tall Tree Summit, and small-team mentorship, you’ll have endless opportunities to grow your skills, deepen your clinical practice, and stay connected to a community of clinicians who love what they do.

We are seeking a Registered Psychologist to provide high-quality psychological assessment services for injured workers referred through WorkSafeBC. In this role, you will conduct comprehensive clinical and psychometric evaluations, prepare clear and objective assessment reports, and provide evidence-based recommendations that support recovery, functional capacity, and return-to-work planning.

This is an assessment-focused role (not treatment), ideal for a Psychologist with strong diagnostic, testing, and report-writing skills who thrives in a structured and evidence-based practice environment.

As a Psychologist at Tall Tree, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological assessments, including:
    • Clinical and collateral interviews
    • Standardized psychometric testing (e.g., MMPI-3, PAI, TOMM, SIMS, WHODAS 2.0, etc.)
    • Review of medical, psychosocial, and vocational history
    • Evaluate and report on:
    • Risk of harm to self or others
    • DSM-5 diagnostic clarification
    • Causality/etiology of conditions
    • Prognosis and functional impact on work, daily living, and recovery
    • Presence of permanent functional impairment (PFI), when applicable
    • Treatment needs and return-to-work considerations
  • Prepare clear, evidence-based assessment reports that meet WorkSafeBC standards and timelines.
  • Maintain clinical objectivity — providing unbiased opinions without engaging in claim advocacy.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with WorkSafeBC case managers, claim owners, and other healthcare professionals, including escalation of urgent concerns.
  • Work closely with Tall Tree’s team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and other allied health professionals. Contribute psychological expertise to care plans and engage in case discussions and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records in line with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Stay informed on emerging best practices in clinical psychology and healthcare innovation. Engage in regular continuing education to support personal growth and high-quality care.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Holds a Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology
  • Is registered, or eligible for registration, with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC)
  • Has demonstrated expertise in:
    • Clinical interviewing and diagnostic formulation (DSM-5)
    • Psychological and neuropsychological testing and interpretation
    • Functional and disability-related assessments
    • Risk assessment and crisis management protocols
  • Has exceptional written communication skills for preparing structured, defensible reports.
  • Demonstrates strong professional judgment, attention to detail, and ability to integrate complex clinical information.
  • Has experience working with injured worker populations or within insurance/rehabilitation settings.
  • Is compassionate, professional, and committed to client-centered care.
  • Strong Administrative Support: Our incredible admin team handles reception, booking, billing, invoicing, and patient communication so you can focus on patient care.
  • Great Tools: Access Jane for booking, charting, scheduling - anytime, anywhere. We also provide free access to Jane AI tools to make charting faster and easier.
  • Dedicated Marketing team: Our in-house marketing team helps run advertising, promotion, and supports you to build your dream caseload.
  • Onboarding support like no other:  Structured onboarding plans to help you ramp up your caseload, connect with the team, and feel confident delivering the kind of patient-centered care we strive for.
  • Mentorship & Collaboration: Work alongside experienced clinicians and participate in mentorship, clinical workshops, and discipline-specific meetings where we share knowledge and discuss cases.
  • Ongoing Learning: Join Lunch & Learns, journal clubs, and guest speaker sessions led by our Director of Education & Learning. You’ll also have access to discounted or complimentary courses through AMP Healthcare.
  • Professional Development: Grow as a leader or educator through our Leadership Development Program and opportunities to lead workshops or share your expertise.
  • Performance-Based Recognition: Our Senior Clinician Program recognizes clinical excellence and offers a pathway to increase your service pricing as your expertise grows.
  • Beautiful Clinics: Work in thoughtfully designed clinics that create a welcoming space for patients and a great environment for clinicians.
  • Community & Connection: Connect with colleagues through social events, learning sessions, and our annual Team Summit.

Studies show that women and other marginalized groups often hesitate to apply unless they meet every requirement.
