Property Research Analyst (Sales Support - Salesforce)
About this role
Property Research Analyst (Remote - Full Time, Offshore)
Our flagship product is Backyard - a fully turnkey, premium accessory dwelling unit (ADU) designed for California homeowners and real estate developers. Weβre reimagining residential development to be more beautiful, efficient, and accessible.
We're looking for a Property Research Analyst (PRA) to join our fast-growing team. This is a full-time, offshore position that plays a critical behind-the-scenes role in enabling our sales team by qualifying leads and evaluating property suitability for Backyard installations.
This is not a customer-facing role. Instead, youβll serve as a research and operations partner to our Sales Team, helping them focus on what they do best, building client relationships and closing deals.
What Youβll Do
Evaluate Properties
β Analyze properties across California for ADU feasibility based on delivery feasibility, zoning, lot size, setbacks, and local permitting requirements.
β Use GIS tools, property data platforms, and internal checklists to determine site compatibility.
β Collaborate with Project Specialists to prioritize high-potential opportunities.
Support Lead Qualification
β Review and validate inbound leads for completeness and basic eligibility.
β Research ownership records, permitting history, and other relevant data to support Project Specialist decision-making.
β Organize and maintain accurate lead information in our CRM system (Salesforce).
Streamline Sales Operations
β Tag and categorize leads to improve pipeline visibility.
β Flag duplicate or unqualified entries to maintain CRM hygiene.
β Help build a system of scalable, repeatable qualification workflows.
Collaborate with Sales Team
β Serve as the first point of analysis before a lead is passed to a Project Specialist.
β Communicate findings clearly and concisely to the Sales Team.
β Participate in occasional alignment meetings with Project Specialists to continuously improve qualification processes.
Who You Are
β Highly organized with great attention to detail.
β Analytical thinker who enjoys solving operational challenges.
β Tech-savvy, with comfort navigating CRMs, spreadsheets, and online research tools.
β Proactive and able to manage your own workload with minimal supervision.
β Strong written and spoken English skills to clearly document findings and communicate with internal stakeholders.
β Experience in real estate, proptech, urban planning, GIS, or construction is a plus, but not required.
Why Join This Company?
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a mission-driven company building beautiful, functional housing solutions. As an early member of our global research team, youβll help define the operational backbone of our Sales function. Youβll work with a team that values curiosity, collaboration, and continuous learning - all while making a real impact in the housing space.
