About this role

Meets criteria as Qualified Mental Health Professional according to OAR 309-032-1505: (105) (2)(e) with the ability to conduct a Behavioral Health Assessment, including identifying precipitating events, gathering histories of mental and physical health, alcohol and other drug use, past mental health services and criminal justice contacts; assessing family, cultural, social, and work relationships; conducting a mental status examination, complete DSM V diagnoses, write and supervise the implementation of a treatment plan and provide individual, family, and/or group therapy within the scope of their training.  Supervises and manages specialty court staff and programs.

 

Duties and Responsibilities



  • Oversee and manage the agency crisis team. This includes scheduling, ensuring coverage, and maintaining regular management of the crisis team.
  • Oversee and manage the specialty court team. This includes conducting Community Consultations for the Aid & Assist program, coordinating court appearances, and ensuring staff court attendance and preparedness.
  • Complete crisis assessments at the office, at the Emergency Dept., and in the community in partnership with local law enforcement.
  • Complete Behavioral Health Assessments for program referrals; diagnose mental health and/or addictions problems; develop and coordinate treatments plans for individuals presenting for treatment.
  • Complete all required agency documentation including client services, progress, and concerns, including crisis screening forms, as needed, MOTS, etc. in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain professional relationships with community partner agencies, coordinating and consulting regarding client needs and services, including attending monthly meetings with partner agencies, as assigned.
  • Attend all supervision appointments and agency meetings as scheduled.
  • Develop and maintain current, reasonable knowledge of local and regional resources.
  • Complete supervision notes and documentation for all assigned supervisees.
  • Coordinate Civil Commitment Investigations and Trial Visits.
  • Monitor hospital discharges.
  • Maintain postvention response protocols and coordinate community responses as appropriate

 

Qualifications

 

Required Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or social work. License preferred, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.  Strong clinical skills required.
  • Experience working with court staff and law enforcement preferred
  • Supervisory experience preferred

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Good written and oral communication skills; time management skills.
  • Basic computer and keyboarding skills
  • Bilingual – Spanish, preferred
  • Electronic medical records system experience
