Junior Treasury Officer
About this role
To support and manage Renmoney’s treasury activities, including liquidity management, funding, investments, and regulatory compliance, ensuring optimal funding cost, adequate liquidity buffers, and strict adherence to CBN regulations applicable to Microfinance Banks.Â
The role supports Renmoney’s core business of consumer lending and financial services by ensuring stable funding, efficient cash deployment, and strong treasury governance.Â

CORE RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
Liquidity & Funding ManagementÂ
- Monitor daily cash positions across all Renmoney accountsÂ
- Daily reconciliation and call over of all Bank accountsÂ
- Booking of depositsÂ
- Liquidations of depositsÂ
- Maintenance of FD schedule with regular reconciliation to the systemÂ
- Support maintenance of adequate liquidity buffers in line with internal policy and CBN guidelinesÂ
- Sound and efficient relationship management with all internal stakeholdersÂ
- Support funding activities (bank lines, placements, borrowings)Â
- Assist in regulatory reporting and data collationÂ
- Support deal execution under supervisionÂ
- Maintain treasury databases, trackers, and schedulesÂ
Treasury OperationsÂ
- Execute and monitor treasury transactions Â
- Maintain deal tickets, confirmations, and transaction recordsÂ
- Ensure accurate posting and reconciliation of treasury transactionsÂ
Regulatory & Compliance (CBN-Focused)Â
- Ensure compliance with internal treasury policies, approval limits, and delegation of authorityÂ
- Maintain audit-ready documentation for internal, external, and regulatory reviewsÂ
Risk Management & ControlsÂ
- Identify and escalate liquidity, funding, market, and operational risksÂ
- Ensure adherence to segregation of duties and internal control standardsÂ
Reporting & AnalysisÂ
- Prepare the daily Treasury report Â
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and ALCO presentationsÂ
Â
- 2–5 years’ experience in Treasury, Finance, Banking, or Financial ServicesÂ
- Exposure to non-bank financial institutions or finance companies is an advantageÂ
QualificationsÂ
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related fieldÂ
CertificationsÂ
- CIBN (Associate Member or in progress) – desirableÂ
- Microfinance Certification Programme (MCP) – desirable Â
