Tricon is seeking a Credit Analyst to be based at Tricon's global headquarters in Houston, TX. This position will offer a hybrid work arrangement and will report to the Credit Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage credit related activities for assigned products/regions
- Assess and evaluate current and new business opportunities
- Provide support to senior management in risk assessment and decision making
Liaise with Traders, Customers, and Banks to discuss credit matters and resolve issues - Analyze customer financial statements to authorize or recommend credit limits
- Request and review third party credit reports and credit references
- Visit customers to assess credit worthiness
- Monitor exposure, release orders and manage collections of their own portfolio
- Prepare and review reports to monitor exposures
Uphold internal credit policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a credit role
- Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.
- Highly analytical and able to problem solve
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Detail oriented
- Comfortable being assertive and making tough decisions
- Thrives in a fast paced environment
- Strong technical proficiency in Excel
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools and ERP systems (JD Edwards, Oracle BI, is a plus)
