Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by washing, sanding, and filling cracks or holes to ensure proper paint adhesion.
- Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.
- Mix and match paint colors to meet project specifications.
- Ensure all painting work is completed to a high standard, with attention to detail and neat finishes.
- Protect surrounding areas using drop cloths, masking tape, and other means to prevent damage or overspray.
- Maintain painting equipment and tools in good working order.
- Adhere to safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines on products used.
- Work collaboratively with other tradespeople and project managers to meet deadlines.
- Proven experience as a Painter in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
- Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and tools.
- Ability to prepare surfaces properly and apply various finishes with precision.
- Good color vision and ability to mix paints accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of painting work.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to painting.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to multiple job sites as needed.
