Overnight Rover

SLCS is currently seeking a Full Time Overnight Rover.  This role is supporting and travelling between our Community Residential Facilities as well as the community programs within SLCS.  In this role, you will build relationships with clients, provide support and participate in client assessments, managing and supporting crisis intervention, assessing clients’ skills and needs, and assisting in discharge planning and support services.

This role also includes advocating for our clients as well as liaising with other community services and professionals to provide best practice support for clients (i.e. clinical supports, parole and probation officers, National Monitoring Centre, etc.)  Within this role, you will also work with colleagues to ensure the safety and security of SLCS properties and provide break support for overnight staff working within the Residential Facilities.

The role and schedule for this position will require general availability in providing client care during overnight shifts, weekends, and public holidays. SLCS has facilities throughout London and region, where the incumbent would be expected to travel locally as required via an agency provided vehicle.

‪Required Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education from an accredited institution
• Standard First Aid/CPR with AED – Level C
• Valid G Class Driver’s License
• Candidates who are proficient in both official languages of Canada will be considered an asset
