Designer (Motion/Graphic)

We Are Social Sydney is on the hunt for a unique design talent based in the Philippines to join our team in a remote capacity. This is a unique opportunity to gather global experience and work on high-profile Australian projects for some of the world’s biggest brands, all while working on a remote basis.

As a Designer at We Are Social, you’ll work virtually with the Sydney design team to bring to life impeccably crafted, socially led creative ideas across multiple platforms at the speed of social.

We are looking for someone who isn't just a pro with static layouts, but is also well-versed in motion design, video editing, and probably even dabbles in animation, illustration, or content creation. You’re a power user of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro), but you also keep up to date with social-first apps like CapCut and cutting-edge developments in AI.

Naturally, you live and breathe typography, color theory, and grids, but you’re always ready to break the mold and adapt to various graphic styles depending on the brand. You soak up design inspiration like a sponge, push visuals in new directions, and bring a proactive, flexible approach to your daily workflow.

Being a socially led agency, we move fast. You’ll need a high level of versatility and the ability to flex your skills across multiple projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Designer, you’ll be expected to:

• Create stunning, impactful content for social media and other digital channels.
• Maintain an excellent knowledge of industry trends, platform requirements, and viral social formats.
• Ensure the level of design coming out of the agency is of a high visual standard, impeccably crafted, and tailored to rapidly changing platform specifications.
• Maintain a keen eye for detail and strict quality control over your own outputs.
• Work smoothly across a number of different client accounts within the working day, hitting deadlines on time and on budget.
• Self-initiate creative ideas and proactively contribute to briefs.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills while collaborating seamlessly with cross-border colleagues and clients at all levels.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3-5+ years of experience working within a digital, creative, or social media agency.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in design for digital and social media platforms (ranging from static assets to short-form video/motion).
• A degree-level education in graphic design, digital/interactive design, fine arts, illustration, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical agency experience).
• Excellent knowledge of industry-standard software, specifically the Adobe Creative Suite.
• Motion design and video editing skills are highly valued.
• The ability to take direction, pivot quickly, and execute to a high standard under tight deadlines.
• Fluent/native-level English proficiency.
