Compensation is by semester hour (credit hour). The starting compensation for adjunct instructors teaching PHEN courses at the undergraduate level is $6,000 for a four semester hour course. No benefits are provided for this position.

Responsibilities:

Courses Needing to be Covered

  • PHEN 2535 Introduction to Materials Science (Lecture and Lab)
  • A MS in Mechanical Engineering; qualified ABD candidates will be considered.
  • An ability to communicate effectively (oral and written) with students and faculty.
  • Ability to teach courses in-person on North Park’s campus in Chicago, IL.

Desired:

  • A PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Prior teaching experience at the college level.
  • Familiarity with Canvas or similar Learning Management System.
  • Comfortable with using technology.
