Role Overview
Tejar is looking for a competent bookkeeper who will be responsible for recording and maintaining the company’s financial transactions, such as purchases, expenses, sales revenue, invoices, and payments and will assist the accountant in submitting the salary tax, SRB, income tax returns, withholding tax, and sales tax. He will also be responsible for overseeing the company's financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform payroll functions in an accurate and timely manner, and submit payroll taxes
- Conduct reconciliation of all accounts on an as-needed basis
- Maintain and balance the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner
- Perform all activities related to the accounts payable function including reviewing, coding, and processing payments
- Perform account receivable functions including invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition
- Prepare financial reports through the collection, analysis, and summarisation of data
- Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or equivalent degree in the relevant field
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a bookkeeper
- Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with accounting software
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
