SUMMARY:

  • The Mental Health Specialist (MHS) is an independent contract position working early morning hours during the school week
  • Morning MHS in-home needs throughout Chester County, PA
  • Great opportunity for recent retirees, or those looking for supplemental income!

RATE:

  • Pay for independent contract work is $75.00/hr

URGENT Needs:

  • Kennett Square, PA 6:15am-7:15am
  • Pottstown, PA 6:30am-7:30am

Additional case needs: some case needs may have candidates in process.

  • Chesterbrook, PA 7am-8am
  • Downingtown, PA 6am-7am
  • Glen Mills, PA 5:25am-6:25am- could also be 7-8:30am if person will drive to media and drop student off
  • HoneyBrook, PA 7:10am-8:10am
  • Kennett Square, PA 6:40am-7:40am, bus- would like to drive, can be 1.5 hours.
  • Malvern, PA 5:50am-6:50am
  • Malvern, PA 6:30am-7:30am
  • Oxford, PA 7:30am-8:30am
  • Paoli, PA 6:30am-7:30am
  • Wayne, PA 6:30am-7:30am
  • West Chester, PA 11:30am- 12:30pm

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monday - Friday, 1 hour/day during the school week to provide services in the home setting before school hours to help an individual transition from home to school day
  • 1 hour each day typically falls between 6am - 8am time frame
  • Services will be provided for an extended period of weeks or months
  • Work with school aged students with emotional or behavioral needs
  • Transportation from the client's home to school may be required
  • No services are provided if there is no school
  • Transfer coping skills and interventions to parent/caregiver

EDUCATION / EXEPRIENCE:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited university in a mental health / human service study such as Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Education, etc.
  • Additional 6 months work experience providing clinical therapy in an individual, family, or group format - preferred.
  • Documented training and experience in positive behavior supports, team coordination, agency collaboration, applied and cognitive behavioral counseling

CREDENTIALS:
(Clearances current within 12 months)

  • PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
  • PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
  • PA Department of Education FBI -- Use code 1KG6XN
  • TB Screening (current within 3 months)
  • Education Documentation - diploma OR official transcripts from graduate program
  • Professional Liability Insurance

The Mental Health Specialist / MHS is an independent contract (1099) position. No benefits are associated with this role.
