Regional Operations Manager

Position Description
This role has a flexible work environment, offering a dynamic blend of in-office and on-field collaborations. 

Expected travel: 50% of the time (approximately)

As the Regional Operations Manager, you will hold a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence and efficiency within your assigned region. Your strategic leadership will guide the regional operations team in achieving performance targets and optimizing processes. You will lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. What You’ll Do:
▪ Develop and implement operational strategies and plans to achieve production targets and business objectives
▪ Manage and oversee farming operations, including land preparation, planting, cultivation, irrigation, fertilization, pest control, and harvesting
▪ Supervise farm staff, including farm supervisors, field workers, and equipment operators, to ensure tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and according to schedule
▪ Monitor crop health and growth, livestock condition, and overall farm productivity, 
implementing corrective measures as needed to address issues and optimize yields
▪ Coordinate with agronomists, veterinarians, and other agricultural specialists to ensure best practices are followed and industry standards are met
▪ Oversee the maintenance and repair of farm equipment, machinery, and infrastructure to ensure operational readiness and minimize downtime

Implement and enforce safety protocols and regulatory compliance measures to ensure a safe working environment for farm personnel and compliance with local laws and 
regulations
▪ Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and logistics, to coordinate farm output with market demand and distribution requirements
▪ Prepare and analyse reports on farm performance, including yield data, production costs, and profitability, to identify areas for improvement and inform decision-making

What You’ll Bring:
▪ Bachelor's degree in business administration, Operations Management, Agronomy, 
Agribusiness, or related field (master's degree preferred)
▪ 5+ years of experience in farming operations management, preferably in the agriculture or 
agribusiness industry
▪ Certification in agricultural management or crop/livestock production
Who You Are:
▪ Someone experienced in precision agriculture technologies and farm management software
▪ Someone familiar with sustainable farming practices and environmental stewardship 
initiatives
