Junior AI Developer

Who are we?

We are a software development company based in Wrocław. We have been creating products for 16 years now, partnering with clients to deliver outstanding software solutions. We are not a product company, which means you'll get to work on a diverse range of projects and technologies.

Why are we opening this recruitment?

A few years ago, we started helping develop talents from their first steps. We organised bootcamps and met passionate people in the process. We are still collaborating with some of the great developers we met back then and have seen them grow within Monterail. We want to return to those times and help new, ambitious talent shape their careers with us, this time with a focus on the future of development: AI.

What We're Looking For

• Hands-on experience building applications powered by Large Language Models (LLMs), such as chatbots, AI assistants, or Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.
• Experience may come from university coursework, personal projects, hackathons, internships, or professional roles — prior commercial experience is not required, but a plus.
• Strong backend development skills with Node.js and/or Python.
• Working knowledge of React.js and modern frontend development practices.
• Solid understanding of APIs, software architecture, and engineering best practices.
• Ability to demonstrate projects and clearly articulate technical decisions, trade-offs, and implementation approaches.

Nice to Have

• Participation in hackathons, coding competitions, or open-source projects.

• Experience with AI development frameworks and tools such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, vector databases, and foundation model APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini).

• Familiarity with prompt engineering, evaluation workflows, and deploying AI-powered applications.
