About this role
About the role
CP Axtra’s Supply Chain Tech is the engine behind how goods move at scale. We’re looking for a backend-first Fullstack Engineer who’s comfortable owning services end-to-end— and who’s happy to jump into the frontend when it helps us ship great features. You’ll work in a product-minded, collaborative team that values learning, pragmatism, and steady delivery.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate backend services and APIs that are secure, observable, and scalable.
- Contribute across the full SDLC: discovery, design reviews, implementation, testing, release, and iteration.
- Add the right amount of frontend (e.g., React/Next/Vue) to land features with polish and usability.
- Write maintainable code with unit/integration tests; participate in code reviews and CI/CD.
- Measure and improve reliability and performance (metrics, logs, traces; incident followups and runbooks).
- Document decisions (ADRs), share context, and collaborate closely with Product, QA, and other engineers.
- 3–5 years of experience building production backends.
- A polyglot mindset and ability to learn quickly—no single preferred language (Go/Java/Kotlin/Node.js/TypeScript/Python all welcome).
- Experience with REST/GraphQL, SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL), and at least one queue/stream (Kafka/Pub/Sub/RabbitMQ).
- Comfortable with containers (Docker/Kubernetes), cloud (GCP/AWS/Azure), and modern testing practices.
- Practical frontend ability: component libraries, state management, calling APIs, basic accessibility & performance.
- Clear communication, curiosity, and a habit of documenting decisions.
Nice to have
- Microservices and domain/event-driven patterns; Redis or other caching.
- Observability tooling (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana) and calm incident response.
- Infra-as-code (Terraform), basic security practices, and cost-aware design.
- E-commerce, logistics, or supply-chain exposure (ERP/WMS/TMS).
