We’re looking for a dynamic Strategic Project & Transformation Manager for the BU Electrical Safety Solutions. You will be responsible for leading cross-functional projects in several areas (industrial, digitalization, innovation, process improvement, etc). You will strengthen our competitiveness, streamline operations, and enable growth across all global sites, from Geneva to the Czech Republic, China, India, the USA, Japan, and beyond. You will work closely with the BU Managing Director and colleagues across the group to define and execute the strategic and operational projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead high-impact projects from initiation to implementation across all business areas, R&D, Supply Chain, Production, Project Management, and Engineering.
  • Drive business transformation initiatives in collaboration with senior management and global teams.
  • Review and update Business Unit strategy and align respective projects according to the strategy.  
  • Ensure project alignment with strategic objectives, budgets, and timelines while delivering measurable results.
  • Support activities related to the establishment of partnerships/acquisitions necessary for strategic growth initiatives.
  • Foster collaboration across departments and geographies, managing cross-functional teams with authority and influence.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, digitalization, and innovation.
  • Act as a business partner to management, translating strategy into executable actions.
  • Prepare and provide management summaries and presentations.
  • Degree in electrical engineering, power electronics or mechanical engineering
  • Complemented with MBA is a plus
  • Approx. 10+ years of industry experience with project execution and program management in multinational small/medium sized industry companies (machining, electrical, automatization) on an operational and strategic level.
  • Additional Consulting experience is preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority.
  • Excellent track record in executing projects along the entire value chain (product development, sales, project management, procurement, operations, commissioning).
  • Experience and strong knowledge of Indian/Asiatic markets are a plus.
  • Proven international management experience of small/medium sized company, preferable in one of the following industry sectors: high voltage, railway traction systems, renewable energy, robotic & automatization.
  • Successful experience in working abroad (expat role) in different cultures
  • Very entrepreneurial mindset with relentless drive and interest in identifying growth and operational excellence projects.
  • Good generalist knowledge about processes/functions of a multi-site industrial organization in order to be able to challenge status quo.
  • Well experienced in structuring of projects (operations, technical, market, organizational, financial) and driving their implementation.
  • Excellent project management, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Good people manager who can drive and motivate teams across the business unit.
  • Good analytical skills allowing him/her to understand key points of new topics and make synthesis.
  • Ability to develop convincing communication strategies (presentations and management summaries) based on technical rationale.
  • Experienced to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Availability to travel according to business needs (varying between 20 to 60%)
  • Excellent English: Written and oral proficiency
  • French is a plus
