Position: PURCHASING SUPERVISOR

Work Location: Vĩnh Lộc 2 Industrial Zone Park, Mỹ Yên, Tây Ninh (Formerly Bến Lức, Long An). Shuttle bus is provided from HCM to the factory.
In this position, you will:
Procurement & Sourcing Management
- Lead and manage the end-to-end procurement process for both direct and indirect materials, ensuring uninterrupted supply to manufacturing operations.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for electronic components, mechanical parts, plastics, packaging materials, MRO items, equipment, and services.
- Evaluate, select, negotiate, and manage suppliers to achieve optimal cost, quality, delivery, and service performance.
- Lead RFQ/RFP activities, supplier bidding, cost analysis, and contract negotiations.
- Monitor market trends, commodity pricing, and supply chain risks to support business continuity and cost competitiveness.
- Establish and maintain approved supplier lists and supplier performance scorecards.
- Drive supplier localization and cost reduction initiatives.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop the Purchasing team to achieve departmental and company objectives.
- Allocate workload, set priorities, and monitor team performance.
- Establish clear goals, KPIs, and development plans for team members.
- Build a high-performance procurement team through training, mentoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Foster collaboration between Purchasing, Planning, Production, Engineering, Quality, Warehouse, and Finance teams.
KPI & Performance Management
- Monitor and drive procurement KPIs, including:
- On-Time Delivery (OTD)
- Purchase Order Cycle Time
- Cost Savings & Cost Avoidance
- Supplier Quality Performance
- Inventory Availability
- Supplier Responsiveness
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly reviews of team activities, procurement performance, and critical supply issues.
- Prepare and present procurement reports, action plans, and KPI dashboards to management.
- Ensure timely escalation and resolution of supply chain, quality, and delivery issues.
Operational Excellence
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with Planning and Warehouse teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Ensure accurate purchasing data and transactions are maintained in the ERP system.
- Support payment processing and supplier account reconciliation.
- Develop and improve procurement procedures, workflows, and internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, audit requirements, and procurement best practices.
Supplier Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers.
- Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and business meetings.
- Lead corrective actions and improvement plans with suppliers when performance issues arise.
- Develop dual-source and risk mitigation strategies for critical materials.
Other Responsibilities
- Support new product introduction (NPI), localization projects and new supplier qualification activities.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the Supply Chain Manager or General Manager.
What we expect from you:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of procurement experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
- Strong experience in sourcing and purchasing within electronics manufacturing, EMS, PCBA, or related industries.
- Solid understanding of electronic components, mechanical parts, indirect materials, and manufacturing supply chains.
- Proven supplier negotiation and contract management experience.
- Experience managing procurement KPIs and leading a purchasing team.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Language proficiency: Vietnamese – required; good command of English (written and spoken).
