IT Security Officer - Engagement Management (Public Sector)

As part of our public sector projects, you will work closely with agencies, engineers, cybersecurity teams, and product stakeholders to deliver impactful digital and cybersecurity initiatives.

You will be part of fast-paced, collaborative teams where communication, problem-solving, and execution excellence are critical to ensuring successful delivery across multiple stakeholders and workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Act as the key liaison between cybersecurity teams and assigned stakeholders
• Understand stakeholder needs and translate them into actionable business and technical requirements
• Coordinate with engineering teams, architects, product owners, and vendors to drive project delivery and achieve milestones
• Manage stakeholder communications, meetings, project updates, and steering committees
• Support the delivery of cybersecurity and digital transformation initiatives
• Track project risks, issues, dependencies, and remediation activities
• Support stakeholders in complying with cybersecurity governance standards, ICT policies, and security requirements
• Drive adoption of new tools, processes, and platforms through workshops, onboarding sessions, and engagement activities
• Ensure deliverables are aligned with organisational standards, timelines, and operational requirements
• Promote secure-by-design and cyber hygiene best practices across stakeholders and project teams

• Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, Business, or related disciplines
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in engagement management, project management, programme management, cybersecurity delivery, or stakeholder management roles
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and multiple dependencies
• Experience managing ICT, digital transformation, or cybersecurity-related projects
• Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts such as network security, cloud security, SOC processes, SIEM/SOAR, vulnerability management, or endpoint security
• Understanding of cybersecurity governance frameworks, ICT security policies, risk management, and compliance requirements
• Familiarity with security monitoring or log analytics platforms such as Splunk, Elastic, QRadar, or ArcSight is an advantage
• Good working knowledge of Linux environments such as RedHat or Ubuntu is a plus
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is an advantage
• Ability to work effectively in Agile and fast-paced delivery environments
• Strong problem-solving, coordination, and documentation skills
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or ITIL Foundation are an advantage
