Job Summary

The SAP HANA Application Security Consultant will be responsible for supporting SAP Security activities across SAP S/4HANA implementation and upgrade projects. This role requires a hands-on consultant with strong expertise in SAP Authorization concepts, role design, governance, SAP Fiori Security, and user access management, while ensuring secure and compliant SAP environments throughout project delivery.

The successful candidate will work closely with SAP Basis, Functional, Development, Infrastructure, Audit, Compliance, and Business teams to ensure security requirements are met during system upgrades, cutover, go-live, and post-implementation support.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain SAP security roles, authorizations, and user access controls.
• Perform authorization impact assessments during SAP S/4HANA upgrades.
• Execute and validate SU25 activities, authorization proposal updates, and role remediation.
• Review and optimize SAP roles, profiles, authorization objects, and segregation of duties (SoD).
• Configure and maintain SAP Fiori catalogs, spaces, pages, business roles, and OData service authorizations.
• Support SAP Single Sign-On (SSO), Identity Management, and authentication mechanisms.
• Perform user provisioning, deprovisioning, and security governance activities.
• Conduct security testing and validation for SAP business processes, Fiori applications, interfaces, and custom developments.
• Troubleshoot authorization issues using SU53, SUIM, STAUTHTRACE, PFCG, SU24, and related SAP security tools.
• Support SAP S/4HANA upgrade projects, including testing, cutover, go-live, hypercare, and stabilization activities.
• Collaborate with SAP Basis, Functional, Development, Audit, and Compliance teams to ensure secure system implementations.
• Prepare security documentation, role design standards, and compliance reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• SAP Security or SAP S/4HANA certification is highly preferred.
• 5–7+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Security and Authorization.
• Minimum 4 years of experience working as an SAP Security Consultant.
• Proven experience supporting at least one end-to-end SAP implementation and SAP S/4HANA upgrade project.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Security is highly preferred.

Must-Have Requirements

• 5–7+ years of hands-on SAP Security and Authorization experience.
• Strong expertise in SAP Authorization concepts, role design, user administration, and security governance.
• Hands-on experience with SU24, SU25, PFCG, SU53, SUIM, STAUTHTRACE, and SAP authorization troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting SAP Security activities during SAP S/4HANA implementations and upgrade projects.
• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Security architecture and authorization framework.
• Experience with SAP Fiori Security, including catalogs, spaces, pages, business roles, and OData authorizations.
• Experience with SAP Single Sign-On (SSO), Identity Management, and authentication technologies.
• Knowledge of SAP system architecture and collaboration with SAP Basis teams during upgrades.
• Experience performing security testing, role remediation, access validation, and compliance assessments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
• Advanced English communication skills (written and spoken).

Good-to-Have Requirements

• Experience with SAP GRC Access Control.
• Experience in SAP S/4HANA upgrade, FPS, and SPS projects.
• Experience working with SAP Solution Manager, ChaRM, and ITSM processes.
• Familiarity with SAP Readiness Check and Upgrade Dependency Analyzer.
• Knowledge of SAP Basis administration and HANA platform architecture.
• SAP Certified Technology Associate – SAP System Security.
• Experience working in enterprise or government digital transformation programs.
